Decolores places children from Chances for Children orphanage in Haiti. Click here to see the orphanage website www.chances4children.org
Children from infancy to age six are available. Haiti is a needy country, and its close proximity to the U.S. makes it possible for you to visit your new child while you are waiting for us to complete the adoption.
Requirements to adopt from Haiti:
- Married couple - must be married at least 5 years, one parent must be at least 30 years of age, only 2 biological children (the proposed law states zero), no parent over the age of 55.
- Couple not married - same requirements but must be able to show proof of cohabitation for 5 years.
- Single woman - 35 years of age, 1 bio child, not over 55 years of age
- Single man - 35 years of age, must be widowed or recently divorced, no bio children, not over 55 years of age.
- No religious requirements
Our adoptions currently take about 13-14 months after your file is received in Haiti. Travel by one parent is required twice during the process; once to sign immigration papers and once to bring home the child.
Chances for Children has an orphanage with parent rooms where you can stay during your visits to Haiti.
